Okay, I realize that my last post was vague and led some of you to believe that I was pregnant. Let me just squash that rumor right now. NO, I am not. Most of you know that I do want to have another kid, but that ain't going to happen right now. When I said fun and games-I was being a bit facetious-go figure.
I am married to an amazing man who lives a very disciplined life driven by allergies and sensitivities to many things.
There is a reason I don't : wear perfume, wear smelly lotion, wear makeup, use scented laundry detergent, own a pet, order pizza on the weekends, let the door to door sales man in my house with the latest and greatest cleaning product, burn candles, attend/host candle parties, use air fresheners in the bathroom-and sometimes that would be nice, eat out often, drink tap water, cook with tap water, stay at home when we use pest control, cook with sugar or eggs if Steve is going to try to eat it. Enough of the do nots. There are still so many things that we enjoy in life. And by avoiding certain things-Steve has a great life. Things just get out of whack sometimes.
In Feb Steve got the awesome cold virus that was going around, and affecting the ears. Imagine a child' ear infection as an adult. He hasn't been a work for several weeks b/c who wants to let him climb poles and work with "hot" power when he is having dizzy spells? Apparently not APS. Now this is were it gets good.
On Thurs (the 12th) Steve was getting ready to call his doctor so that he could get cleared to go back to work. Someone else had other plans for us. I was taking care of some stuff in my room and walked past the computer room to find Steve laying on the floor. That's cool-really it is, we have tile floor in the entire house. So I thought it was strange that he would choose the floor to lay down on rather that a couch or bed. When I tried to get him up, he wasn't responding to me. LONG story short-Steve had some "seizures "and I called 911 and we spent 38 hours at the abomination of a hospital, Del Webb. Side note-If you value prompt care or want good care-don't go there!!!!! They will send you home even if you are having "seizure like activity" and tell you to just take the medicine. If it didn't stop the "tremors" in the hospital, why would it stop them at home? Cause it didn't.
So on Monday (the 16th) Steve and I flew to Salt Lake to see Dr. Remington. We figured that if he can find a parasite in the intestines (last year), that he could help figure out what was causing the "tremors". My very cool brother Caleb and his sweet wife Annie let us crash at their apt in Orem for a few days while we went to Dr Remington, and then the neurologist that he referred us to. She was great but we couldn't stay in Utah for weeks or months while she tried to discover the reason for the "tremors". She told us to come home and try to find a doctor in Phoenix. But it was worth trying to see if she could help while we were in town. We still don't know why Steve is having these "tremors" but we are going to keep trying to get to the root of the problem. The good thing is that epilepsy has been ruled out.
So if I checked out for a week and I am not around much in the next few weeks, I am just feeling like I got squashed like a bug, a big bug!
