Steve's visit to the EMU at Barrows

The girls were helping Steve with my Mother's Day surprise
They got decked out in the safety glasses and ear plugs,
or as El refers to them-ear muffs

I have been reminded one more time that I am not a teenager anymore. When you stay up till 4am you feel like crap all day! I stayed up at our crop till 2:30am and then HAD to stay up and catch up with Becky till 4am. When our children woke us up at 8:30am, let's just say we didn't jump up and get them their toast. But it was a very successful weekend for scrapping so I dare say it was worth it.

"Wordless Wednesday"

*When I am on vacation I guess the only thing I am getting done is posting pictures on Wednesdays. I have a lot to post about I guess. Like Ki's 1/2 Birthday and the trip to Kettle Falls, Washington for the Christensen Family Reunion.

Happy Father's Day

We started our vacation a few days earlier than planned so that we could spend time with Pops for Father's Day. He got his stitches out on Wed and the pathology report came back and said that the tumor was benign and that is Great! There are some cancer cells in the tumor but they were most likely killed with radiation that was done 4 years ago.
We were glad to hear that and I am so grateful to have such an awesome dad!!!

El picked out some "Spooky" socks for Steve and made him two cards.

Ki picked out a T-shirt for Steve and made him a Batman card. Steve loves Batman.
I am very thankful for the dad that Steve is. He lets the girls cook with him, wash cars with him, and they like to watch him play his PS3, or Golf on the Wii.
Ki said she was going to make and serve breakfast in bed for Steve-cereal with fresh strawberries. But then he was out of bed and had breakfast a few hours before she even got up. He is an early riser. She scolded him a bit and then gave him a big hug.
We are thankful for our awesome Fathers!

Me and My Crazy ideas

Ki first thing this morning-I tried to take pictures last night when it was styled and cute, but she wouldn't let me.
Her hair for donation:

El, on the other hand was glad to show off her cut

I got a crazy hair last night and my mother in-law was glad to accommodate. Both girls got their hair chopped! Ki had enough length (8 inches) to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. She was excited to mail it today. I think that with my family history of cancer and with Pops' current cancer, we should support cancer victims. Ki's hair grows pretty quickly so I thought it would all work out well. I wanted them to have cute summer cuts. Both of them look darling if I do say so myself.

An Update

My pops had surgery today to remove cancer from his neck area. After a 4 hour surgery he is in recovery and the surgeon reported that it was a a success, they took out more cancer than they thought they would be removing, but thought it went very well. I am thankful for all who have said prayers on his behalf!!!
